Fernanda Torresi

Photo Fernanda Torresi PortraitFernanda Torresi is currently the Community Relationships and Capacity Building Team Manager at the Queensland Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma (QPASTT). She has worked at QPASTT since 2005, and during that time has held a number of different positions including counselling, group work, capacity building and training coordination.  Fernanda came to Australia in 2004 from Argentina and has also worked and lived in PNG, with people from the local community and those from a refugee background from West Papua. In recognition that recovery from torture and trauma occurs at community, family and individual levels, in her role as CR&CB Manager she strives to ensure that the service remains connected and responsive to the needs of refugee communities.
